Sweaty Jojo

Joel has taken over his dad looks, character almost 100%. They are like clones. One of the 'virtues' Jojo has taken over is the Sweat! Both father & son sweat alot - profusely at the slightest heat. Just drink milk also can sweat alot :) Here's Jojo after his milk feed, can style his hair with his sweat. He has just turned 13 months, and his 'devilish horns' is beginning to show. Very naughty now. Will cry big time when we scold him. Also difficult to pull him out of the toy's dept. He kicked a big fuss! Must avoid that area now. :)

Joel's Rashes

Joel had a fever for 3-4days, followed by rashes, scared all of us. So worried that we have to postpone the birthday party. Brought him to see Dr Siaw again, he said not to worry, its normal, rashes will subside by Sunday, and we can have the party.
He's right! Joel is back to his handsome face on Sunday morning. Whoppee!

My Saturday - no photos?!

No time to take photos for Joel today. Forgot to bring the camera out. Rushing to go for the seminar, already late for it, and Joel took a long time to finish his lunch. So its rush rush rush. Wanted to take pics of him today so I can post it... but... its difficult, me all alone, with 2 bags, pram, etc etc.... Cannot juggle so much activities. :(

Brought him to Taka for shopping this evening, he was so active in the nursery room, playing with the baby next booth. So funny, that boy even threw his diaper (soiled) over. Haha. Should have taken a picture of them doing it. Will be nice . . .. Sigh.

I forgot to bring the carrier out, so I told Joel in the car that he has to sit in the pram, I cant be carrying him and if he doesn't want to listen, we will have to go home... and guess what? He sat in his pram quietly most of the time, for at least more than an hour! I'm impressed! He understood me.

We went over to Aunty Ivy's place cos I brought her a cake. And their friends brought over a cute little puppy. That little puppy is so cute! Much smaller size then Joel. Thought Joel will be scared of animal but he did not. In fact he laughed hysterically the moment he go near to the dog, he even want to touch it. So funny. Must take a pic & video of his act...pity! Ok must remember, maybe I can try tomorrow since the puppy is staying over. :)

Sumptuous Lunch!

I beatup Joel yesterday for misbehaving. Felt so bad, made him a good lunch today. He loves it, ate alot. However, he tends to try not to nap these days. So halfway through, he's almost dozing off. First time he had fried rice with toufu soup.

Ingredients:
Rice
Sweet potato - diced *substitute for carrot if you like*
Brocolli - finely chopped *steam for 5mins*
Minced pork
Fish
*marinate minced pork & fish with sesame oil, and steam it for 10-15mins, retain the gravy*
Egg
Anchovy powder for taste
Method:

Boil rice with diced sweet potato till soft. Add Anchovy powder for taste.
In a non stick wok, heat up some oil, and fry the egg first.
When the egg is about half cooked, add the rice.
Add the brocolli.
Then add the minced pork & fish together with the gravy.

Stir fry for about 5mins. Serve with toufu soup.

Simple and easy. As for the soup, boil silver fish, dried scallops and soya bean for a while, then just add the toufu in. No salt needed for both dishes. Yummy! And while cooking, add lots & lots of LOVE! :)

Did not go out today...too troublesome to bring Joel out. Besides, its better to rest at home because the Monday Blue follows. Tiring. . . . is too understated to describe my weariness.

Joel, the outgoing fella, is definitely very boring. . . .bored to tears...

I hold 2 jobs. By day, I am a CSR. By night, I am a "BSR" aka Babysitting Rep. Regardless if the daddy is here or not, I hold a night job (2nd shift).

These days, I try to leave office by 5pm - so I can be home earlier to do the chores. I have to wash the laundry, sterilize milk bottles, keep the toys, keep the house neat. Then I shower, catch a quick dinner and go fetch my prince - grand arrival, and thus, my 2nd shift began.

Today is not exception, at times, when I come home early, I get to relax, and do things I used to enjoy. Such as reading the newspaper, magazine, watch TV or just lie at the sofa doing absolutely nothing.

But when I came home today, I realised that I forgot to close the master bedroom window before I went out this morning. Oh no! And there was a heavy downpour. Joel's mattress, pillows, bolsters were all soaked through! Oh no, I had to change everything. So tired. On top of that, I had to do the laundry. Oh yes, part of my bed were drenched too :'(

By the time I finished my task its already 7pm. Must quickly catch a bite before I start my 2nd shift. Just as I was about to eat my bread, oh no! The lizard ate it before I did! Sob sob! There goes my dinner, and I had to throw that bread away along with the dead lizard. Gave me the creeps having had such close encounter with that thing.

Sigh sigh, now that Joel is finally asleep, its time to hang the laundry. Then my duties are sort of completed - - provided he dont wake me up and call for night service.

Poor Joel, been sick since last Sat. Caught a flu, now coughing with phlegm. But still super active. His fave activity now is to climb the sofa. :)

I am so looking foward to celebrating his 1st Birthday! I love you my Jojobee!

Joel always surprises us. He just made these funny faces while having Japanese lunch and made us laughed. And he only did it for that moment only. After that, no matter how much we coax him, he doesn't repeat his act. Lucky I caught it in camera. We are still wondering what made him do that. Was it the food (Chawanmushi - his fave)? Was it the atmosphere in Sushi-tei? Scratch scratch..... guess we'll never know …… Stay tuned, the next post will show a pic of him gave us a face - too much coaxing. . .

Hong Kong! Shop till we drop!

Went Hong Kong 香港 - 万象之都 with my colleagues on 27 July for 4D3N , and we had lots of fun, the shopping was great but the weather was not great at all (Rainy). But we were lucky, HK had typhoon this week, and I was shocked - even the dustbins were being blown away (last night on TV news).

Arrived HK ! All ready to charge!

Taxi in HK is really cheap - no peak hour, no ERP, can sit 5pax... best of all, no midnight surcharge! But most drivers has that 'attitude' - RUDE!

Misbehaving in public

Meal time with Joel is a challenge especially when we are dining out. He doesn't want to sit in a baby chair. We have to try ways to distract him, battling with the ordering and eat our dinner as fast as we could. So we avoid dining out now.... such a hassle.

I am so into online shopping recently. Great for busy mummy like me. Just surf, view, click, charge to your card and voila! Simple as that. I have got buys from German (Birkys!) and New York (OPI). I have trained my Birkys well during my HK trip, I really made it 'walk' that much. And for my OPI, its just superb, what can I say? I am a Shopalcholic - retail therapy always works! I was so happy when I received the package, like xmas gift . . . except that I have to pay for it. :(

Joel is exactly 10mths today! Daddy is back! Both mother & son is super happy. He still recognise his daddy (Phew!). and what a realistic baby. He abandoned me for his daddy immediately! So clingy to papa and of course papa is very happy.

Joel will be 10 months old this Friday 21 July (OMG! Time flies). This busy mummy has only just began to create a blog for him. So much events has gone and past. . . perhaps I should do a recap. This is so to let everyone who adores Joel out there to catch up with the 'happenings'. But not much toys interest him like this big techy savvy thingie.... He got very excited the moment I whisk out my lappy. Flashed a big smile when he saw his own pic. Its Joel's first attempt to joining a baby show. All for the fun of it, he's in the 6-12 mths category, there are so many babies! Well Joel did not win any prizes, but he's always #1 in my heart.
